The Project Pioneer was founded with the original mission to test and develop curriculum and interdisciplinary projects that would make best use of new and emerging technologies. What started out as a doctoral study has become an organization that is working on developing projects integrating distance learning in international settings, developing professional development materials to prepare teachers to better use technology in their classrooms, helping schools develop technology plans, and partnering with scientists, university college professors and other professional developers to bridge the gap between academia and practice. It is our goal to ultimately balance research, material and curriculum development, develop resources and community outreach to prepare students and educators for the new paradigm technology in the classroom brings to teaching.
